Crap! First real drive didn't go to well at least nothing blew up.
Throttle cable to carb ball linkage keeps popping off and pedal is binding up with the carpet.
Things to fix!

My worst 1st drive was when I backed out of the shop (it had a pretty big down hill grade outside of the door) and went to hit the brakes and the pedal went to the floor! Wouldn't pump up! The brakes worked great when I put the car in reverse to back out. The new ride rolled down the drive and into my car trailer. That bent the NOS lower rear valance. The new master cylinder was defective, and that was 20 years ago! Was probably the best place for it to fail, but it sure ruined that first ride.

Yup got rattles but not too bad.
It's really quiet but that's Ok.

In my humble opinion rattles and a bumpy ride tells you you are in a hot rod.

Them rattles are just letting others know you're coming! I figure If mine quits rattling, I'll go back and look for parts...

Swap meet finds this morning. Spare Buick drum, a Vega cross steer box in case I change steering, and the illusive 15x6 Chevy wheel. Now I can get rid of the adapters on the rear differential.

MVD appointment tomorrow morning. Hope to get a title, licence and registration. I do have a good Kansas title so I hope so goes well.

I had good title too and it still took 3 trips to DMV! Hope you don't have any problems it turned out great!

Well one trip down. At least I got a vin inspection done. They couldn't find the title in the system for some reason. So they sent all the info to Santa Fe and I should hear back from them. When I have no idea.

Around here, if the titled vehicle has not been licensed in the last 7 years, it was purged from the system. What happens from here depends on how much of a power trip whom ever the person's desk it lands on is.
Lets hope it hits the desk of the guy that just wants to move it along.

I was using an adapter to convert the 2 bbl to 4 bbl carb base. I'm using a Cadillac top and it's heavy and it already cracked the plastic adapter. The Shaker Scoop as my brother in law calls it.
So I'm using the stock base now. It's kind of low but it clears everything. Might check the pull and pay to see if I can find a higher one but anything with a 2 bbl is pretty rare!

Went to the MVD for a couple things and checked on the status of the title. Apparently the last gal dropped the ball on this one or the work was done and no one notified me.
This lady looked up something on the computer then found the paper work in a file. Typed in some more stuff asked for some $$$ and bingo! Title will be in the mail!

Now I need to finalize my insurance and then I can get it registered!
