It sounds like some cool, low buck fun. I've seen where some of those X class types will race in the 50+ mph range. That is crazy on a lawnmower. Think there was a show on Discovery about a guy taking one to Bonneville - trying to get over 80mph or something.

It's just a little surface rust!
They have Lawn mower races every 4th of July where I live. Talk about crazy!! those things get some speed up and they sit up so high they look kinda hairy
