man Doug! you really know how to cut someone down to their "un-worthiness" level. but i guess that is what some of us need sometimes. you have my respect for what you chose to do knowing the possible consequences of your actions and devotion.

i could see where a friendship with you could be an enlightening one at that! thats what i think friendships are really all about... for one to uplift and enlighten the friend in the time of need and for the other to return the favor.

my wife has M.S. and is battling pain day in and out. and the medications they put her on is something that her body just gets immune to. the other night she told me "im sick and tired of being sick and tired!" and was ready to admit herself to the mental ward at the hospital thinking that she was have a mental break down. i know first hand what is like to be around someone like this and it helps me to appreciate life more.

stay strong Doug!

I'm sorry if I caused any disconfort to anyone. Sometimes people need to back up and look at real life. as much as I enjoy my toys its still just a hobby. if he is so stressed out over building a car he's luckey he not in the 3/4 of the world haveing to look for food and water each day. Doug

Sorry I didn't get in on this conversation sooner! Custom Cabby - Like others have said, so many of us have been, and in my case I still are where you are in things too. I've been really bummed out lately over my project. It's currently not going anywhere! No cash to spare for the stuff I need, no tools beyond some basic hand tools and a sawzall, not even a freakin shed or other structure to store my cab in or work on it. My custom built frame is in my driveway wrapped up in a big tarp and to top it all, I have next to no experience whatsoever in building a rat rod. Wouldn't you say it's time for me to give up? Believe me the notion has crossed my mind over the past week. However, the answer is pretty simple. I can't walk away from the obligation I made to myself! I also promised my boy that this was our project and it has to be finished. I have some great friends here too and I'm not walking away from them. I just can't do that. I'll find a way to get this truck built or else! Just remember those boys of yours and think of the good times ahead and you'll get through this. We are all here for you C.C.! As Coffinmaker said - he was on his way out the door when we pulled him back in. I'm glad we did too! Now he's got a project in the works. Give yourself some time and don't make any off the cuff decisions. You would regret that later. Keep the dream alive and you'll be rewarded in many ways.
