I dunno Tripper, you are becoming awfully domesticated these days ! :D What ever happened to that tire burning, soccer Mom scaring guy we all knew and loved ?:p

Nice bench btw.

Good stuff! (But I gotta tell ya....uh....I can still see the tool shed :p)

Do we need a woodworking thread? I haven't done much lately, but I do enjoy working wood. Except the sanding part....ugh!

Wish my grandpa would have lived a bit longer....

he was a pattern maker for GM.....could build anything out of wood....started to show me some techniques when i was 12.....Had a massive heart attack at 62 and passed on.....he used to make furniture, adarondeck chairs, tables, there wasn't anything he couldn't build out of wood.... I on the other hand, have no patience with wood.... what takes me days to build takes a true wood worker hours..... I can do it but isn't by any means a passion....:D

Bench looks good..I tell everyone that asks that I just don't do wood,period..
I can do a little, but don't enjoy it nearly as much as I do metal work..

Paint it?????

What color are you gonna' paint it? (somebody was going to say it) :D

I'd sand it down and stain it or leave it as is and just clear it.....my wife would love one of those....mine would just sit a little cockeyed....:D never seem to get things on the level....oh it's level when I build it....just not to the ground it's sitting on....lol [S

Haha Earthdude! I typically let my projects age for a year to get a lil patina & when they get where I like them I slap on the Thompson's. I love workin' in wood around my place & it's good sweat equity. Here's a picture of the grapevine I planted on the pergula I built & I'm training it to cover the top in the least amt of time! Can't wait till it starts poppin' out some grapes!!!

Thanks kats & kittens... this is where the ol Tripper drinks his coffee in the morns while his 4-legged son barks all passers by & kikks off Miller Time in the eves! Now I'm hookin' up a water collection system to catch the wet stuff off my roof & A/C unit. I'll water my plants with it cause our stupid Mayor raised water rates by 50%! WHAT is wrong with politicians?!? Guess they haven't figured out yet they're killing the goose that lays the golden eggs!!!

Nice, but new. It will have some more ambiance when the wood ages. Some rusty metal art would be good. Maybe some windchimes with big and small tubes for a symphony. Looks like the grape vine is headed in the right direction :)

Nice work, Bob It's a great place to hold an RRR meeting/party.

Also, looks like there's room for a Bonehead work of art.
