GJunktionMike; IMO moving the hair pin up gives a cleaner look.[/QUOTE said:
Thanx Mike, I was going to raise the hair pin as high as I could on that mounting plate but not going through the frame for mounting and check it and if I have to I'll block the the perch. I think just by blocking the the perch I'll lose the clean look ?????

I wouldn't

And who would trust this theory,[S I cant heat and bend em and no other steering arm will work on these spindles. I have to find something with a 5/8" I.D for a spacer and a friend will mill the outside to look nice . If it was easy everyone would have one right :D

Some of those kits are made to flip them from one side to the other and run the tie rod in front of the axel.

No Mike a bunny rabbit would scare me if it ran across the road, if it was turned around my luck I would hit a toad and it would wipe me out..:D

I'll stay out of the road.

No Mike a bunny rabbit would scare me if it ran across the road. If I didn't know better this looks like a tie in with a facebook pic :D

Thanx L,D 13, Thats the game plan, u still need those u-bolts ??? there r 3 spring shops here I'll just go have 1 of them make me some new ones.

No don't need them now I had new ones made up when I did my block :) Thanx tho :) I would flip the tie rod around to the outside if you are having clearence issues I did that on mine because it would've hit the wishbones the other way

Ok on the u-bolts.. If I add a block to the spring clearnce on the tie rod will be fine. I'll b raising the frame away from the tie rod.. I'll know better on the next one????

too bad its shiny

you could cut the top of the hair pin shorter if it was raw steel and add camber while raising the mounting point. but those look a little nice to cut. you could move your spring perch down if you had to to lift it . its funny I had mine too low for my plans but i decided to go with a 20" wheel in the front and back. but you already bought yours I see nice ones too. just set back stare at it with some friends and itll sort its self out. I also reversed my front end to put the tierod infront.but I reversed the axle and welded the batwings on the other side

I'll be ok on camber, I raked it to far back to start with, so going back out "towards 8-10 degrees" will be no problem ??

Thanx Jimmy, I was told 11-13 but have been told 8-10 would be best. I just cut the perch off so I'll move it down .. I broke the u-bolts loose and jacked it up & blocked the perch 3" off the spring and it looks a lot better so I've cut the perch off and I'am about to glue it back on just lower..

Ok I think it looks a lot better [S[cl:D I cut the perch off and lowered it...

Thanx GJunction, I've got to get that new mig figured out, it's eating my lunch going up hill and I dont know why "YET" using Co2 first time using that. But yeah just lowering the perch changed so many clearance issues, now I can move on...[P
