I love workin' in wood too & just finished building this pergula outside our back door. The grape vine I planted is growing like a weed... won't be long & it'll cover the whole top & we'll have grapes galore! Love havin' my coffee out here in the morn while my pup barks all passersby!

Good stuff! Especially the grapes. My parents had one on there patio for years. Hung a porch swing on one section. I always liked going out on the swing and eating my fill of grapes. Had to hose off the fallen grapes and bird poo every day or two!

Earthdude... I might do a build thread on it. Came out better than expected but was a pure PITA dealing with the city. No one has ever converted a business into a residence in Houston B4... Haha! Got burned out after 13 months of such foolishness but finally got the energy to go another 10 rounds in the cage TapOut style to get my garage built!

Very nice, Bob. Working with wood is actually pretty much fun after working with steel, like we car guys do. It is cleaner, lighter, and no welding required.

Those grapes should grow pretty fast down there in Tx. I wonder, is there much of a bee problem with having grapes growing ? When I was a kid we had a grape arbor over the entrance to our one shed and I was always afraid to go in there because of all the bees swarming around.
