As some of you know I headed to New Mexico last week to get some old tin. I got to put a few faces with names from here and got to meet some really cool guys along the way. I picked up the cleanest model A I've ever saw and a super clean 46 mercury coupe. We also got a truck load of other parts and tin.

And now for the pics...

Cadillac ranch. It was so windy/dusty that this is the only pic that turned out.

It blew my mind how much stuff had simply sunk away into the sand.

To rotten to justify dragging 1500 miles home.

Some people don't realize what they have sitting in the sand...

And a few pics of what I dragged home.

The proper way to load cars in New Mexico.

I have some other pics of the landscape also. I might upload those later.

In 7 days we covered 10 states, 3500 miles, 60 degree temp changes, and over 11,000 ft of elevation changes. And had a blast.

Thanks to the guys for the southern hospitality, we will see ya again in a few months.

I'm going to guess that these guys are wild. They was on a reservation in Arizona.

This guy was sitting in the same pull a part. They wouldn't let it be saved, said it was crusher bound.

This pic and many others don't do any justice for the magnitude of he size of the mountains.

Crap you were digging around in my backyard! :D
Looks like you stopped in Santa Rosa and Duane's place.

Never went to Santa Rosa, we didn't have any leads there. Duane did give us a lot of leads that ended up with me getting the load that I bring home.

You did go over Wolf Creek[cl !!!! I don't think there is better view than that anywhere..
I have so many stories about that bump in the road LOL...... my grandfather hauled the coal and water in his 6 horse drawn freight wagon to the steam shovel that cut that road the first time, a trucker rammed my mom's car one winter to keep us from going over the edge, another time I found out after passing the first runaway truck ramp I had only one brake working on my car hauler weighing in at 80,000 lb, I've been in CLOUDS so thick you could not see the end of the hood on a Peterbuilt, and many more scary stories LOL............and the worst one night a guy ahead of me was asking on the cb where the bottom was and that he couldn't get slowed down enough to get his truck back in gear and his breaks were on fire, I found him rolled over just before the scenic over look "the hair pin" his load came loose and killed him.

I'm glad you had a good trip and enjoyed the view...and survived Wolf Creek Pass
