N A P A tool rant

l bought N A P A tools for years because of the quality and no hassle return policy.

l went to the local store with my favorite 1/2 inch drive that the gears are stripped and they no longer carry the N A P A brand or the rebuild kits and replaced it with some cheap crap called carlyle or something else but no N A P A tool brand any more. the stuff they carry looks like cheap china made garbage. another great tool place gone.

so if you break your'e good tools, they are gone forever


maybe l can find a matco or snap on guy and hope they can rebuild it.

The NAPA I work at sells Ultra-Pro tools.....This is in Canada, so not sure if thats the same as the US

Every day we loose quality stuff or go to buy something that's now inferior chinese crap.
I ran into that doing some plumbing in my house. I bought all 1/2" brass fittings and no matter how I doped and taped them I couldn't stop them from leaking. China right on the side.

Ebay is our friend for the good old made in USA stuff.

One of the female parts people at our local NAPA was complaining to me one day that more and more NAPA is going to prepackaged Chinese crap instead of the quality parts they once carried. I hate to see that because they did actually seem to have better quality parts than their competition.

Whoever thought up that one should have been tarred and feathered and then hung .......how they ever thought that would fix crap is beyond me.....gets me upset even thinking about it....
