Ok... I've worn my fingerprints off searching online as to the whereabouts of the oil pressure sender location on this motor & for the life of me... I can't seem to find it. I found a hole in the back of the block pass side by the heads that was the right size but when I looked back there with a mirror... there are two holes that looks like something (an accessory maybe) was attached there, although I can't imagine anything attaching there. There is also a hole down by the oil filter on the drivers side but... no threads! Anybody?!?

This is a link to the buick forum that supposedly shows a pic. You'd have to register though to see it. Here is the text:

I just got through putting a gauge on a Nailhead.

As Scott said, the location of the factory sending unit is directly above the oil filter on the passenger side of the block. Take a flashlight, it is real hard to see in the grime and darkness of underhood. There is only one hole for a sensor for the ***** light on a Nailhead, so unless the previous owner drilled and tapped a new hole (doubtful), the "new" sending unit will be in this hole or there will be a T with the new sending unit and the factory sending unit attached.

Irish... THANKS!!! I'm a member there but never saw that! My buddy told me how to drill & tap it. You remove the oil filter holder & then the shavings fall down in that cavity & you can keep them from getting into the engine. Just the kinda fun I was lookin' for... I cry!!!
