Like what fits what. I have what I'm pretty sure is a 73-79 longbed and I would like to cross reference what other years or models the front panel and tailgate fit. I get conflicting or partial information looking in the aftermarket catalogs. Some references seem to indicate longbeds had different front panel and tailgate than shortbeds, or maybe some years were the same?? Help!! I want to sell this stuff but need to know what I'm selling.

I know the tops of the 78-79 stepside beds are flat, I am not sure the date they changed, but it could be 76. The older ones have angled tops. The fenders are the same for years, except for the gas filler hole in the left fender after they took the gas tanks out from behind the seat. The distance from the top of the bed to the top of the fender also changed over the years. From 80, they went to fiberglass fenders, and large letters on the tailgate, with a different shape and look for the whole bed.

This one is a low side with the flat tops. Pretty sure it's 73-79 due to the dual fuel fillers on the left side, maybe even just 77-79 since the 73-76 probably still had in cab main tank.
No longbed stepsides after 79, I do know that much.

I think you have it. There were not that many long bed stepsides in the late 70s, fewer every year, until they quit making them. So most of the fenders will fit, and the running boards too.
