New adventure

So I have always been into rc cars. I guess I never grew up hahahaha.i have done some planes, lots of scale crawler stuff, monster trucks and even some short course and on road stuff. I have been eyeing this new rc adventure for a bit now. Over Thanksgiving amain hobby had them on sale 50%off!!
So I know own a no prep rc drag car. There is a huge following and even some big money races for these. I just think it will be fun to race your buddies. We do have a somewhat local club who has a few races a month.

The electronics are tunable just like a real car. It should be fun!!

Yeah it is electric. The speed controls guys are running are 100% tunable. Started ordering some electronics. I can't wait!!

That's super cool! Now that we're on an acreage I am looking to get a 4WD RC to play around with.

I'm excited! Had a few minutes while waiting for paint to dry so I started cleaning the edges up and putting on decals.
It has a bunch more stickers. We will see if I put them on

Well, I haven't even ran the car yet and I already started mods!
One of the things I noticed on this car and when reading reviews was the wheelie bars. A lot of people were claiming they came bent or tweaked. Everyone's response was bend them back. Well if you're looking for consistency and straight runs being able to bend your wheelie bars by hand and straighten them out does not really seem like a good combination. So here we are

Well I bit the bullet and got my electronics for the no prep rc car. Some serious stuff. 10 gauge high strand wire for the motor leads, and big bish in metal battery terminals. The speed controller is fully programmable by plugging it into your lap top. You can add timing to the motor through out the run which acts just like timing on your gas engine. It's crazy. I drove it on my patio. It's fast and it was spinning!

Thats cool, and to me a lot more fun than slot car racing. Would be fun to participate in some real oval or drag strip action on that scale without slots.

Would be cool to build a nostalgic style gasser? How about a model of your rat?
