Hey guys, new to the site and starting on my first ratrod. I scored a 29 Tudor here in Houston for cheap, and have just now got the body off of the old chassis.

The general plan is build a frame out of 2x4 tubing, z'd front and back, mild channel, no chop (I'm 6'5"). I guess I'll go with a well broken-in SBC and auto. Not real unique, I know, but should be fun.

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, and look forward to talking with everyone.

Nice start BigIrish and welcome to RRR. There's certainly nothing wrong with the tried and true sbc. Just use what you want and have fun with it.

Man you have a good start! Unique?!? How many rat rods do you see driving around your neighborhood? That's the way I see it. Get 'er goin' first and change it later if you want to get fancy....or save unique for your next build.

Oh ther'll be a next build...don't fool yourself...your hooked. :D
