After some serious calculations and engineering design I came up with these intricate headlight mounts.

Is the rod diameter to the spoon larger then a 1/4" round stock?

I bent a 1/4" rod on a gas pedal once. It took a while to figure out why the motor kept loosing power. I kept thinking something in the tune up was going astray, until I noticed the gas pedal wasn't moving as far as it once did.

Currently bleaching the boards so the interior isn't so dark. Saturday we went back to the Viking mead hall and drank a little honey wine. I played the role and sat in the King's chair. Oh, the boards are a pretty good thermal insulator too.

The naugawood is cool looking, but given my ability of working with wood, I better stick to particle board with material glued to it and have it screwed to the bracing.

Thanks for the comments. I'm glad some of you also use wood for floors, etc.

After 3 or 4 bleach jobs the wood was still a bit dark. I mixed latex white paint 1 to 3 with water and white washed the boards, rubbing the paint well into the grain. I won't install the wood until final assembly.
This will probably be the radiator shell ornament. Picked it up in a second hand store.
