Atually my Ford 9 inch limited slip. Just rebuilt it. All new bearings, changed from 3:01 to 3:50. New clutches. Etc.
How many miles should it be driven until i can enthusiastically get on it? Also any idea what kind of breather should be installed for venting, but will keep out the small insects?l

I think Summit has the breathers that keep things out. I would drive it 100 miles and then give it heck. When I was younger break in was on the first drive

Break it in like you're gonna drive it. If every things right it will take it.
That's my theory and it has worked for me (mostly).

I always run them in off the ground in gear......

Doesn't take much to set the gears and lube it up....then you should be Good to Go!! Think about it....factory slams them home and then puts them in...only "break in" is when you buy it and drive it.....so go for it...

ok i get the idea! Break in? we dont need no stinkin break in !
I gotta finish wheel cylinders, shoes, etc. Then off i go.

Infrared thermometer is handy for watching the temps. $25 at HF.
