New work benches!

My buddy has a connection for metal & got these for free. 5 pieces 6' long & 17" wide. We're gonna build stands for them shortly... can't wait!

I think they're 3/8" or a little over that. I'll measure them tomorrow. My buddy has a kool welding table & we're gonna make the stands for them next week.

We're gonna make stands outta 1 1/4" steel tubing. Three will be open underneath & 2 will have shelves underneath. Can't wait to mount all my goodies on them.

Here's the 1st one!!!

Well... my buddy that got me these steel tops helped me build the 1st stand for my work benches. I was his gopher & he did the real work! We're gonna make 5... 3 with shelves underneath & 2 with no shelf like this one... for larger storage.

That's the tin for a '27 Dodge 2-door c-dan I got recently.

I like your bench. Nice thing about steel is that you can clamp stuff to it and weld it right there. We use Dan's welding bench for everything.

Those turned out to be some nice benches Tripper, and like Don said, handy for welding.
