Newb in Phoenix.

My brother borrowed my 240z for a while and it broke down in Tucson (pack-rats invaded it and lunched the wiring).

Its getting a rat-rod makeover now.
Race car interior, no ammenities, race seats, harness, rattle can inside.
Flat-black rattle can exterior.

I'm here to search for tips on paint and ideas on mods.
Thanks for being here.

RatZ.
This will be my first "rat", thanks to the pack-ratz.

Its actually very liberating to not be confined to Stock or Original anything.
Just how I want it.

It needs to be safe, and thats about it.

Initial goal is get it running again with a race interior, custom panel and wiring.

Decided against flat black rattle can, in favor of matte OD Green.

Panel work tomorrow and wiring.
Cut and welded all this week.

lowered 2"
extreme reversed wheels with fat tires
open of the wheel wells for above
drive shaft exhaust pipes out the center rear

dirt track look
lowered and big tires will make it look very agressive
OD satin green with red markings. black wheels

This project alive and well.
Just about done with the re-wiring which took longer due to work conflicts.

Cut a new aluminum panel but its no good. will use for a template and make another.

Truthfully this will be more of a street-rat-race car than a pure rat rod.
BUT... I have some really ratty ideas for phase II.

Welcome to the forum... love the Z. I was just thinking the other day that you hardly ever see a 240 anymore which is surprising since they sold so many of those things & that was a pretty durable motor. Please keep us posted on u're progress!!! :D
