My buddy's gal pal bought a new Camaro & had a flat & guess what... NO spare tire!!! Instead they give u an air pump! She tore the side out on a curb so that air pump deal ain't workin' out for her! Guess the trunk wasn't big enough for a spare?!?

What?! Really? Did the dealer attempt to sell her a "roadside assistance" program when they sold her the car?
It disgusts me how much manufacturers are trying to make more money and spend less.
The world is so money hungry now days and they will do anything to make things cheaper and charge more!

I do alot of side work (carpentry, tile, decks, cabinets ect) and every time someone gets a quote from me, their always surprised why its so low. I tell them Im not looking to make a million dollars. A few extra dollars is always a plus to me and ill take what i can get. 99% of the time, Im the first call they make when they want additional work done as well. I stand behind my work and have never had to go back for rework.

I realize everyone has to make a living, but its not fair to anyone to short hand people. What goes around comes around.

Brilliant!

I had a quick look at 2012 Camaro models, specs and options. A spare tire is an option on some models and not even listed for others. Duh? To make matters worse, they don't offer a run-flat tire, period.

"On Star, how may I help you?"

"Listen lady, I'm in a bad part of town with a flat. I need a SWAT team and a set of Michelins."

AAA dont leave home without it.

Once again, its a joke! Lets sell the customer more crap that they'll inevitably NEED so we can make another buck!

Yeah the owners manual says.

If a tire has come off the rim or has sidewall damage the tire inflator and sealant will not work.

For us owners call the roadside assistance listed on page 13-7

Funnier yet and I quote:

It is rare for a tire to go flat under normal driving conditions assuming the tires are well maintained. If a tire does go flat this vehicle is equipped with a tire inflator and sealant kit.

WOW!!!!!

Guess they don't think anyone in rural america will purchase a car. You know, halfway between rock springs and Laramie Wyoming.

"roadside assistance will be with you in about 2 hours" hahahahahaha

How badly do you really need a spare though? My wife's last car we had for 9 years never one used the spare. My truck I've had 10 years and never once used the spare. I can count on one hand how many times I've had to change a tire on the road the 40+ years I've been driving.

I do carry a little pump and have had to fill a slow leak to get the tire shop but that's it.

AAA roadside and towing is cheap and well worth it.

No spare in my Tota or my hoss. Only one blowout and it was very preventable. Spares are for sissies [P

Wait a minute a spare is useless in todays world.

Why? The idiot behind the wheel couldn't change the tire anyway!

Actually roadside assistance is great unless you blow the side wall and then have to be towed somewhere.

Even better on a Sunday.

I had many flats on my dually when I was on a construction site daily. Lucky for me they were on the rear and I could drive until I had time to get it fixed. When I am pulling a trailer I ALWAYS carry a spare.

My thoughts too.
What's the chances most people driving a new Camero can even change a tire.

Hell, or even would [S
Spare on my 01 Ram 3500 was never used so, I put it on with the last tire purchase to use it up.
It will not run with the new tires. I put it on the rear and what ever side it's on it make the truck pull hard to the opposite direction under throttle
Oh crap got off subject

Never thought about it really.....

but I would guess it's been 15 years since I had a flat tire on any of my personal cars and that one was when my wife (no..really) hit a piece of metal in the road and it blew the tire and broke the alum wheel....and that was just recently on her flex....not to change the subject but you know why I liked the Flex.....(high pitched excited voice) Cause they rolled beads in the door panels.....[cl (and I'm not a big Ford guy)....wife is...:(
