We had a 2 day snow storm in New Mexico Nov 7-8. It was wet heavy snow and we lost a lot of branches on the trees. 12"-24" of snow.
I -40 and I-25 were closed in areas with truckers and motorists stranded for hours.

A few years back, my wife and I were trying to get to Edgewood from Amarillo. We ended up staying in a campground in Amarillo, due to another unusual snowstorm.

Being from MN, the snow wasn't a big deal to us - it was the other drivers that made us decide to stop. They would either drive 5 mph or still try to drive 80 mph. Totally retarded, but fun to watch...

We got some snow up here in 4 corners but not that much🤔
Being retired is great when the weather turns bad, you only go out if you want to😉. Have a great winter!

WOW! Was this unusual, or do you often get snow in the winter? I always thought NM was a "warm weather state", do you live in the northern part?

Edgewood is about the middle, I’m in the North West, 10 miles from Colorado

We usually get a couple good storms a year. We are in Central NM at 6800 feet high. Albuquerque is over a mile like Denver. So snow is common in the winter. We can have snow anytime between September to May and have.
Southern NM is lower and warmer.

Thanks, that makes sense to me. My BIL lives just northwest of Denver. They can get 2' of snow today and it may be gone in a couple of days, or may not be gone for a couple of weeks.
