got a bit done today, pass floor is fixed, mocked up bed( sorry it's the carpenter in me) bed with boom on looked way to long so instead of 6' long it's gonna be 4'6"x5'6" wide. Had to wack a few inches off the frame (17), think it will look mo bettr and get to move the gas tank off the back end to behind the cab. Owner of local machine shop needs his corvette seats redone so maybe my motor will get finished now:eek::cool:

A few more pix, think this is how it's gonna end up but may cut 6" off the boom legs. It's a little heavy, may have a wheelstander on my hands here:eek:, stiffer springs needed, glad I have a big block :D

not much to update, hitting the bricks lately looking for employment, gotta eat :D a few things I got done is cleaned up firewall and started inside, I like putting wood over the f loor, cuts down heat and noise, so got that fitted and glassed up a trans hump. I got a few gallons of lizard skin(ceramic spray on insulation) left over from last build so I'll shoot the firewall and as much of the inside as I can. Horse traded a few parts, need some steel for the bed and a crank for the BBC to carry on with the build. Working on this and watching all the other builds on here is all thats keeping me from going crazy in this economy :D:D

Hey Wrecker, glad to see an update. I really dig this build, and that floor is pretty neat looking! I sure feel your pain about the economy and needing to eat too! Sure be glad to get some more project time myself!:D

snakes invade shop

finally a update, back working on her. Did a pair of vette seats for the machine shop guy and traded out for a balanced rotating assembly and aluminum intake for my BB, I'll post pix as i'm getting it together, meanwhile I shot some paint on my headers, like the color. Should have the motor in next week I hope, then I can hang the front end back on :D :D

got too excited, had to take a break and post a pic. Finally looks like I'll have the motor and tranny ready to install this week. Motor is a 69 396 .060 over (407 or sumtin like that) I had to rering her cause of water in the cylinders (fireman duh! ) so tore it down and found crank was junk, new crank, bearings and rings. It has a lumpy comp cam in and roller rockers, running a edelbrock performer 2-0, 750 edelbrock manual choke 750, ported open chamber cast heads. Hope to be 350-375 HP, more than enuff to haze the skins :D I like red motors  more pix as I progress
