A friends street bug in the right lane. It ran a 6.14 at 120 MPH that day after a 40+ mile drive. His wife won the championship in the pro class in the SEVWA series this year also.

I've owned several bugs, a couple i even drove, i'm almost ashamed to say most of them were hacked up and used for buggies. At times I wish I had some off them back, but oh well.

I like the bugs owned a few they are fun to drive great little cars I'm looking for one two build another trike like to make one out of ones thats not so sound but one that runs they also are fun to ride.

I've had a '64 Bug in 1968, a '67 California Bug in 1990 and a '63 Pro Street Bug in 1995.

Never owned one, but wife wants a new Bug as soon as the house is paid for.

save your self time and money and buy and old one, much easier to work on and they are alot cheaper

After having over 100 of them, and working for both the US based VW magazines, I only have this one left... sold an original Meyers Manx, 52,000 mile 55 sunroof, 1967 21 window with safari windshields, and a few others, including my "rat rod" which was a 69 body, chopped 6 inches, Oval ragtop clip, suicide doors, hidden hinges, and the socalook <www.socalook.com> front end, and a TON of parts, and financed a debt free move into a brand new, paid off, home 500 feet from the Ocean in the redwoods of NorCal...
This one ran a 13.85 @102 in the 1/4 mile, street tires, though the muffler....it's the one I brought with me up here
