old springs

i am doing a very low budget build her. my truck is 63 y.o. considering the wear and tear on my original suspension, is it a good idea to use the original springs? i plan on breaking the spring packs and cleaning them up, and as long as they arent broken, i would like to reuse. does this sound reasonable?

I posted the exact same question last week. I found mine to be too badly rusted and warped to re-use. I'm going to go to a junkyard and find some donors.

Pull them and look them over. Are they rusted badly? Warped? Cracked?
