I don't feel he really ever got the credit he deserved as a Guitar player. Sad to see him check out at 57, I'm sure he had a lot more to give us.

As a musician I always had a lot of respect for Prince. He was the whole package. Composer. Player. Entertainer and a shrewd business man. When you saw a Prince show you more then got your moneys worth.....
Most people don't realize that when he went thru the name change (The artist formally known as) it wasn't just a PR stunt. He did it so he would stop getting screwed over by his record label.
Springsteen did kind of the same thing back in the late 70's when he just stopped writing and recording until his then contract ran out.

Was not my favorite but....

Did like some of his music....Sad....57...we are sure losing a ton of Musical legends lately....Makes you feel just that much older....RIP Prince
