The 40 was flathead powered. It carried the race car theme inside, 4 point roll bar, no interior panels, some kind of small bucket seats.

The black and white 56 Chevy beside me was also sweet. Over restored, had a 235 with a power glide. Nice lady owned! I had stopped to check my brake fluid at a store when she pulled up and popped the hood on her car. I went over to see if she needed a hand, the little 6 had a lifter tapping. She was concerned about it being it was fresh built. Cut it off and cranked it a couple of times and it quieted down, told her it probably just had a piece of trash in it. She was about to just go back home, but I told her I’d follow her if she wanted to go on, so we did. She was a bit lost anyway, having moved here from Illinois last year. She’s a real car gal, I hope to meet up with her again. No, I didn’t get a pic of her, didn’t even think of it! After we both registered our cars in, I didn’t see her again all day until I was leaving.

Those types of interactions are one of my favourite things about the hobby. Connected by our love of cars!
