It is said that if you line up all the cars in the world end to end someone would be stupid enough to try and pass them. (from a Bonehead post)

Yet another story (i AM an old guy you know)
LW,a kid i went to school with was passing 10 cars on a two lane hiway at 50 mph in his first car, a georgeous white '58 Fairlane that his parents paid for. The cars were going too slow. Well they were going slow so the first car could make a left turn into their driveway :p His comment was that he was such a good driver because he used to race go-carts and could get his car sideways and not t-bone the other car. Bounced off their car, crossed their front yard, slammed into their house and knocked the bathroom sink off the wall. Get this , the salesman that sold him the car was the last one in line and watched the whole thing :D

Why Not??? There would be nobody coming!!:D

I never would have thought of that Snipster [cl

Anyone want another story? I want to tell one anyway. :)
LW and i were heading to the slot car track in his beater '56 Chevy.( circa1967) He was trying to beat this car to death because he was leaving for the navy and didn't want it to be there when he got back  ( later got a medical discharge for being too passive aggressive to serve in the military) So we are stopped at a light in the right lane but it is closed on the other side of the intersection because of an open ditch and a pile of dirt. Driver in the left lane hears the revving clanking 6 banger to his right and correctly assumes LW is going to try to get ahead of him to get around the dirt pile.
The light turns, its pedal to the metal in both lanes. Both cars reach the other side together and the other driver is thinking that fool better give up and hit the brakes! Well it was him hitting the brakes as LW never slowing still pedal to the metal slams thru the barricades, the ol' Chevy catapaulting skyward over the dirt pile and coming back down in the now clear left lane.
Yes we did arrive at the slot car track.
