what the he!! is going on there? Or is it me... [S
They keep telling me they need money because I`m 180% past storage limit.
I deleted a whole bunch of albums a while ago and it still told me the same, and now I see they only hid the albums so all is still there... can`t get anything deleted and uploading takes about 2 days per pic, and during that time my computer rattles like crazy trying to chew up all advertising
I`m so fed up with that site...been for yrs, but lately it`s getting worse and beyond. Now, would my troubles be gone when I start paying them or what? I`m definately going to very impolite when not, but then again, where am I going to be impolite....? not e-mail to write to, no Phone# to tell anyone how I think about it, no desk to beat anyone up.... aaaargh

Would not upload for a few days recently but is alright now. Like WB it has served me well for many years. Maybe you have been hacked Dutch. Never heard of Photobucket asking for money.

At one time PB was pretty good, but lately it has been not so good for me. Seems to be down pretty often and sometimes things won't upload. But I have never heard of them asking for money.

I have had a few issues with over the last 8 years but for the most part been good. I went ad free for .99 cents a month a year ago and that made it way better,

I tried using PB for awhile. It works fine for me but is a lot of trouble to upload the pics then post to the forum then if you reorganize then the links are gone, you get the idea.
It's way easier to just upload directly from the computer to the forum.

I use high resolution on my camera because it takes a lot better pics. Sadly that makes them too big for here. PB is more work but then nobody has to click every thumbnails to see them like if you used the manager here. And also I've lost all my pictures on my computer twice over the years due to hardrive crash. Only the ones I saved on PB remain. I lost all my pictures of working the Katrina clean up.

The computer crash issue is a real problem.
That's actually happened to me in the last week with my shop computer.
I have a computer I-T friend, who has a program he uses to recover lost files at his work, he'll be bringing over tomorrow to retrieve them

Yeah, looking back, I suppose the ones I deemed lost could have been retrieved. Pretty sure the FBI could if they thought I was trafficking child porn,lol.

I quit using PB for many reasons, most already stated.

I've killed a few computers as well... long story short, I've learned to save my files to my own device, a memory stick or external drive... from that point, I've found PB relatively useless and load pictures directly to this forum.

A thumbnail, (properly sized) can be posted full-size. I use "Paint" to reduce a large (high-resolution) file to a width of 800 pixels, load to this forum, preview the post, open the thumbnail and copy the image URL or address. Go back to your post, hit the "Insert Image" icon

delete the http:// shown and paste your copied code... much like PB, but different.

I never did get FP figured out. I tried to get with FP twice but never got anywhere so I just upload them from my files on my computer ... I dont know how to get them bigger , but I guess they are big enough to tell what things are ..

well, one last try to get something going on there and low and behold, I was able to get some stuff done... I deleted almost everything I had in my account ( about 90%) and even uploaded 10 new pics. After uploading I refreshed the page and my used storage space went from 130 to 169.13% ! [cl[S Within 10 minutes I received another email that told me it`s time to add more storage
oh well.... I give up. I`ll uplaod pics as long as they let me and if the site craps out on me again I`m gone.... won`t spend another minute there getting frustrated. Life would be easier if I had a bunch of computer knowledge I guess...
Anyone ever try to get some kind of support from them...? All I can say is wow......

nope, I asked them in the mail ( not on reply to where it came from...lol ) and it was ligit. I also had this window popping up on pb telling me to ad more storage. For free use there`s 2.3gb (?) available, beyond that you need to pay [S I did have a considerable amount of pics on tho....
