looks great! If I was going to over build one thing, I would add a gusset between the upright, and the round tube. I think the flat may flex at the top of the lower gussets you have. But keep in mind I over build. It is really got a great look to it. Your artistry has carried over to your truck for sure.

What is that front axle from?

that axle is out of a 1960'S (i think ) mail van. it said on the front that it was a Jeep. it was one of those kind that you dirve almost standing up.

its worked out great cause the mounting holes for the backing plates were the same pattern as an AMC disc brake spindle. it also has kinda a cool sweep for the engine that was in the van.

i fabricated the mounts for the spring cause the axle had a underslung leaf spring on it.

I agree that the artist in you shows in the build. :) Some really nice touches that will keep people looking at it, finding new stuff. I like it.

I agree with Bonehead.... I see you did reinforce the mounts but I would run the gussets the entire length right up to the tube. Cool idea though... I like the shape.
