slow but steady progress on this one...

plugged in some front cap wiring, getting it routed etc.

gave it an "altitude adjustment" this week by eleminating a coil on each front spring

got windshield n back glass installed last week

put door handles & locks in, today i rebuilt one vent wing assembly and installed the new felt-tracks and door glass n regulator

you chevy guys need to tell me the "easy way" to put those together
a real pain in the neck for me...

also a factory replacement type firewall insulator pad installed...

a few pics

another progress report on the blue beast...

front fenders & inner fenders put together, a new radiator and 2 14" cooling fans located in the core support and finally the grille assembled and installed...

tomorrow is gonna be putting together a few lose ends and getting to a decent stopping place -- like hearing it fire off:rolleyes:

-i'm hoping since there is no fuel tank or lines that this will be one quadrajet that wont flood!;)[cl

still to come...sometime in the next year
*wiring those fans
*bumpers front n rear
*interior
*bleeding brakes
*fuel system-tank & line
*finish hood
*finish polishing

oops! forgot the pics!

only 3 years later....

well it has been a long and slow, winding road, but the 68 has -for the first time since it came to my place 3 yrs ago- left the hill[cl

the owner picked it up today to go get a spray in bed liner put over the bed-floor next week...

grabbed a few more pics after rinsing it off

also trying out a mid 90's chevy truck bench seat, good fit, just needs a recovering...in black most likely...

Sure looks good almost done. The rims are still kill'n me.

i was sure he would change them out before it gets driven... but he said they might hafta stay a while -until some "kid" wants them and he can sell them to get what he wants (old school cragars is his wheel of choice)

Wow HRP! Sharp.

thanks sam! we are pretty proud of it...:D

Good looking truck! Needs to drop a little in the rear, though. Where's the hood?

rear got dropped after it went home--on the same day, tho;)

the hood is still as wavy as the north atlantic so..........

i still have some work to do
before i can make it blue :p

i need to keep reading stuff like this, makes it easier for me to go get back to work on my 69 gmc! he ever get more fitting wheels?
