Just wondering how many of you guys are Believers in Christ? I myself have been a Christian for a number of years and I would just like to know who else is out there that shares the same passion.

Can't say I'm a true believer, but it did save my older son from taking the wrong path after a couple wrong turns. He now has his own family and is a good father.

For me I just live by the Golden Rule.

I'm not a fanatic about it, but I do believe in God. There have been a lot of instances in my life where someone pulled my fat out of the fire and I am grateful for that. I should have been dead more than once but I am still here.

I also started praying when I was laying on a bed in the emergency room 20 years ago with a heart attack. It is a practice I still keep today, just to thank the Man for all he has done for me and my family, and for bringing us home safely that day.

To be honest..i dont believe in all that...100% atheist
But I dont mind if someone believes...in fact, my grandma is a hardcore believer, I remeber one time when she suggested that I go study to be a priest...yeah right:D

I am right there with you man. Proud to be a son of our lord Jesus Christ, and amazed at what he did to die for my sin.

Wow, how much do you want to know, "born again" in 94. I am on a daily spiritual quest. Jesus? YAY!! I'm gonna die and go to hell because some woman chose the wrong fruit 10,000 years ago? That's always been a little hard to buy into.

me too

i've been a believer since '92, as a matter of fact i first trusted Christ while driving down the road in my 66 ford truck--after leaving a old-fashioned baptist revival meeting! However i really pulled some STOOPID stunts in my life shortly after, and didn't really follow Jesus until 1997 when i made a public profession of my faith, received baptism, and joined a church--the same one where 5 yrs before i went to the revival meeting:D
well i surerndered to the ministry in 98 leaving behind a profession of auto collision repair, and have been pastoring since 99....
YOU ASK A PREACHER A QUESTION LIKE THIS!? EXPECT A LONG ANSWER!!!!!

I don't mind if people believe, but the lack of thought and question really turns me off of organized religion. Jesus was a man that traveled the world and studied religions of different culture, went back home and formed his own beliefs and religion from thoughtful research. I do believe in a higher power but I think that power is responsible for both good and evil. It seems like a cop out to place all the bad crap on someone else.

Religion is man's way of trying to box God in, has not much to do with real spirituality. I consider myself a Christian but I am pretty sure they don't have an exclusive franchise.

Jesus is the Son of God. God wants us to have faith. That's what's so good about being a Christian. God is with us all the time. He always comforts me. I have the joy of having Jesus in my heart. Jesus's sole purpose was to die on that cross and redeem us of our sins. All we have to do is believe. It's that simple. Hell is not for sinners. Hell is for non-believers. Jesus is for sinners!!! When St. Peter says: Smoking or non smoking I'll be happy that I'm in the non smoking section. Harleyboy

you can count me in on heavens gates also. it took me a while but with a father as a paster of a southern style old time holliness church and a wife that got saved a few years after we got married it was hard not to find the right way to live. I tried to fight it for years but after seeing friends and love ones passing away or going to jail I knew I needed a change. it has been a great one too. my life changed for the better almost over night. I'm not trying to preach to the non believers but if you feel a lacking in your life, better get on your knees soon.

Jesus died for our sins no more than our troops at a pointless war,... or an innocent child born in this world only to be raped/molested and thrown in the ditch. What I DO BELIEVE in is good moral values and that you should treat your fellow man and woman with respect and dignity no matter your class, gender or color. Noone knows for sure if there is a heaven or not except the dead and I don't believe this higher power put me on this earth only to be restricted by contradictory and hipocritical rules and boundaries set by organnized religion. The Bible is a book written by people who followed Jesus and interpreted Jesus' word into written word. If you and I both read a Shakspear play or novel I can garauntee that we will interpret 2 different meanings. Take religion for what it is and use some brainpower to form your own thought... like Jesus did. I'm here to LIVE and enjoy the one life I have without intentionally hurting or judging other people.

Sorry, after reading this it sounds kinda harsh, but I'm really one of the most easy going people you'll ever meet... I just have some different views on life.

I believe in GOD, but not in organized religion! I'd rather translate the word myself instead of just accepting someone else's translation. Brotherhood is good, but I find no reason to pay for it.
