The car is VERY strange, definately an exercise in workmanship.
It will probably have 100,000 holes in it by the time it is finished.

Chassis pics are from '007.
The body was looking 1/2 finished in March,at the Detroit Autorama.
Pics are probably on the HAMB,I didn't get any.

I like that submarine...

My question here is how well does a quarter elliptic/4 bar style front end handle? I know this might not be the best place to ask, but when I build my rod...handling is my main focus, and thats handling without the use of an ifs

I'd think this setup might work a little better than the transverse leaf, just because it gives more independent movement to the axle..

oh and hey guys...this is my first post!

1/4 elliptics are "just" springs,so handling is
a question of spring rates, and roll stiffness.

I doubt the Submarine would handle as well as it could,
because the front springs are so close together.
This lowers roll stiffness,so you either need a sway bar,
or stiffer springs.Running stiff springs will compromise
the ride quality and control over bumps.

If handling is a prime concern,a low center of gravity,
wider tread width, and GOOD tires, would be the place to start.
