A well timed peak on Craigslist scored me an engine for gasser!!

I scored a 302 with flowtek aluminum 202 heads. All the cylinders are on a 3 psi range on a compression test. Seemed like a good deal

I noticed the idle adjustment screws didn't seem to do much.

Motor looks nice in the Model A.

Yeah, thats why inwas moving them call over the place. Tryimg to get it figured out Hahahaha. I tore them down 3 times and no fixie hahahaha

Vacuum leak is the most common cause of that type of engine issue.

Vacuum leak is the most common cause of that type of engine issue.

We sprayed it with starting guild and brake clean. No idle change

Were you able to get on the underside of the manifold?
Might try using a gauge to see what the vacuum is at idle before it dies.

Yeah, i was talking to my dad about that this am. The guybwho has the carbs says that are squeaky clean. I think I will put the carb on it and try it out. If its get the same result inwill pull the intake

Just curious... Did you confirm distributor engagement?

Assuming you have fuel and compression, my mind goes to spark and the distributor.
