I had a customer at work one day and he saw the pictures of my cars on my desk......so we started talking cars. He told me he has a drag race Honda that runs in the 9's. I said "wow, that's one really fast ricer!" (I thought I was paying him a compliment) He gave me this look like I had insulted the Pope, so I guess that isn't a term of endearment among the import set.
My daily is a Honda, so I must be a ricer too.

I have access to and late 80's Nissan Z, with the straight six, standard trans and independant rear. I'm thinking is would make a great driveline for my daughters rat. Will that make me a rat ricer?

Im into imports. Old german imports. I always laugh when a guy in a V8 picks on a guy in a 4 cyl import and then brags to his buddies about how he is quicker/faster. I also like it when they pick on me and get mad when they lose.[ddev My big engine is only 140 cubic inches.

those guys did a show here a few months ago, what i didnt understand was they are called ricekillers but most of them drive ricers. THEN 2 weeks ago i met my girlfriends family and her brother-in-law was asking me about my car club and mentioned hes in ricekillers so i figured he had like a high horsepower v-8, then i come to find out his car is an Acura integra with a big ol' fart can comin out the back, i looked in disgust and he told me "I'm a tuner not a ricer" so now i also hate tuners

I always thought a Ricer is a pimped out car from the orient hence the word Rice being used. A general term for the little bright colored farting things with the airplane wings would be Tuner even if they are from the US like a Ford Escort for example.
