Last night there was nothing else on TV and we needed something to be on the tube while we ate dinner, so, unfortunately, we watched part of this show. It has to be the worst of the worst car shows on TV IMO. I kept expecting to hear the owner of the shop say Bada Bing ! (Transplanted Jersey guy now in Cal )

These guys are supposed to actually have a rod shop and yet they were mystified that when they tried to mount two fours to a flat plate on a blower intake the linkage actually hit the plate !! :D So instead of running down to Pep Boys and picking up two spacers, they torched and welded up some ! And they said they charged the guy $ 3,000 to put the two fours on the car !

Then, to add more drama, the engine "somehow" caught fire (although the camera panned away to show how it actually ignited (maybe a match helped) And, of course, the icing on the cake was when they recruited a bunch of young cute girls to help sand a Pontiac woodie.

I felt like I needed a shower after watching this stupid show for the little bit we did watch it. If this one makes it past season one I will have lost faith in all humanity. This one actually makes Desert Car Kings look ok, and that is saying something.

I talked (on facebook) to a guy who owns one of the cars that raced in the desert. He said only one of the guys has a clue and the rest are just actors, and very bad ones at that.

Yeah,
Awful show. Reminds me of the now gone "Hard parts Bronx".
If anyone actually ran a shop like is portrayed, i dont think there would be any profit..
Also lately, im not digging what i see on fast n loud. It seems all too often they are just making something work, rather than pride in the work, and consideration for the next owner.

But they did run a progressive linkage on the dual fours to maximise the power.
