S-10 Code Reading

Anyone know where the connection is for a reading the codes on a 2001 S-10?
Boy am I stupid when it comes to late model vehicles!!!

I thought it was on the left side of dash underneath, very close to the kick panel. That way DMV can scan them quickly!...CR

I tshould be under the dash just under the steering column, it may have a small cover over it. Best way is get on your knees and look at the bottom of the dash!! LOL

You will need a code reader. No flash codes on OBD2

for obd2 cars you can get a cable or make one that plugs in to your computer than download a reader program for free. Now you can do all of your scanning. have fun

Auto zone does it for free. But codes dont tell you the problem. Just where to start. You need PID data and bi-directional to do alot of work on newer cars. I have fixed plenty of cars at work that AZ fixed first....[cl
