We put a set in the A. Got em at Speedway, just bolted them thru the floor. They are just a lap belt and are just for the front seats but they work well.

Yep, I spend the most time and money on the safety items, brakes and seats/seatbelts....

I'm running seats and seat belts out of a Ford Winstar.

We just had this discussion on another forum. If I had a coupe I probably would put them in, but since I drive only roadsters there is no way I want to be the tallest thing strapped into my car if it flips. I would rather take my chances being thrown clear than having my skull driven into the pavement with a 2000 pound car on top of me.

I think this picture will demonstrate what I mean.

The driver of this blue T bucket is a young lady named Megan. Something locked up at 70 mph on the interstate and it flipped, ending up with the cockpit jammed tight against a guardrail. If she hadn't been thrown clear onto the side of the road she would have been killed for sure.

Well, if you are crazy enough to run an open cockpit with no roll bar, I guess your only chance is getting thrown...

The odds are better for your survival with belts rather than without in general...

Once upon a time I was an EMT. I lost two people because of seatbelts. One drown because she couldnt get it off and the other was decapitated cause he couldnt lean over. The people who werent wearing them in the same cars survived. I never lost a patient who wasnt wearing one. That particular stat comes from insurance companies who have an agenda

Yeah, like how many roadsters do you see that have a cage that would actually give you any protection? Let's see a picture of your roadster with a cage..............oh, I didn't think so. :p

Many of us ride cycles on the street and we argue about roll bars and seat belts in roadsters? :)

I am conflicted on seatbelts in an open roadster but had & wore them in the old Daytripper. I had a pretty bad wreck in my Daddy's Caddy & would have been thrown through the windshield without one. I was pretty glad I was wearing one as my face is still in one piece!
