im thinking since ill have the floors out soon i might as well do the exhaust while its easy access --- im definately splitting exhaust and running dual
what i want to know is
what you guys think would work best as far as side pipes or side exit exhaust ---
i definately want to run straight piping but just trying to get some opinions of where how etc.

im thinking full side pipes would look silly but maybe dual tip side outs about right where that rust hole is by the rear tire lol
or
right at the door hinge a little behind the front tires

I say stick 'em out the rust holes in front of the rear fenders. :D Dumps right behind the front wheels is gonna be loud and might fumigate the driver.

Unless your running a flathead straight pipes is a no-no performance wise as you need back pressure. Full length side pipes with 1 - 3 outlets would be cool and you could still have some glass packs or smitty's under the car chassis. Just use 'u' bends as it all cant be seen anyway.

im stickin with the flathead 6 that was in it --- got it running nicely :)
still thinking about runnng some 14 in glasspacks though i dont know.

I like the side exit myself , you could make a round shape shield out of some alumanium sheet and poke the pipe through , put some rivets through the shield into the body . you've got a neat looking shield and it will cover the rusted edge of the hole . Wow , we killed two birds with one stone . I like it ! It will give it a racey look .

thats actually exactly what that picture is of ... i already did it ... just cant tell cuz the picture is cruddy. ill see if ican get a better one in the morning ... i thnk my phone was set to night vision mode

"....you need back pressure..." Tell that to Garlits, Petty, Foyt, et al.

lol cmon play nice.
got the floorpans finished today, built new feet for the seat... ran out of welding wire.. went to the store and got some more, and some new bolts to bolt the seat down... put in the receivers for the front seatbelts (yes seatbelts). so after i finish grinding down and painting the floor i can put the seat back in
waitng on a wheel cylinder to come in bc i screwed one up messing with the brake line bleeder -- dont know my own strength ...put in the new pads or shoes or whatever you wanna call them .. double check them .. then its ready for the road and the rest is cosmetic... also need one lug bolt... dont forget that./
