Hello fellas!
Well, tonight I'm off to Australia (after a short 20+ hours travel time). So! I should be on here occasionally with updates of the Comet and to look at cat photos, but just in case: Happy Holidays/Merry Christmas/Whatever-you-celebrate and a Happy New Year to everyone as well! I'll be gone until February, surfing, tattooing and trying to catch a kangaroo. I'll grab tons of photos of the cars there. People drive around classics daily, it's great!

Adios Muchachos!

Forget the kangaroo. Catch up to the original party animal. :D

I missed out on alot when I was on the road... I just was looking for a few bits from my most favorite Canadians and Artists especially Neil Young one of my favorite people and I just learned Jeff Healy passed away like almost 5 years ago... f'... that sucks but he's not really gone is he...
This is a really awesome Young cover by Healy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPBTLGOP3rQ

I went looking for this vid. I stumbled on it years ago and had some correspondence with him about the truck in the last video I'm posting>
He didn't know much about it. He told me he isn't much of a mechanic that was his friend Karl who was knowledgeable in those things.
he did tell me Karl bought the truck after it was used in the filming of Mad Max and it was a custom job but he doesn't know what became of it.
My best guess is that it definitely is a ford and looks like Diamond T parts were incorporated into the grill.

Stay out of Mordor....Mt Doom is acting up... follow the hobbits, don't talk to spiders

Just watch out for the dropbears while you are over here

The museum website

and a blog

and a bush guide

so what parts are you headed for?

Hello all! jet lag finally gone...

I've actually got a drop bear tattooed on my shin!

I'm in Ballarat at the moment, but will be going around Victoria and possibly Queensland doing some camping and such.

Tons of cars everywhere, and a few killer shows coming up so I'll be sure to grab photos for you all! I think Mango and I may try to work on the 1956 Peugeot thats in the shed here. Talk about potential!

Thanks all for the well wishes!

hello guys! checking in again. My car is done being primed! As soon as I get actual internet and not just my phone I'll upload pictures. Also, extending my stay here a bit...going to New Zealand end of February and then sticking around for a week or two to catch a Nick Cave show. Nick Cave! AH!
Hope all is well with everyone....there's some decent car shows coming up soon apparently, I'll be sure to grab some photos!

Went to see the Hobbit Friday night, I have never seen anything like it. the new frame rate filming and the New Zealand backdrop is just incredible. The CG graphics and special effects look very real and indiscernible to me and the story of course is a good story.
It was as good as being there and you can't ask for much more from a movie
