Smoke stack pipe question.

Hello.

Being that Im going with the rat rod semi theme I thought it only fitting to use stack pipes like on semis.
Got a guy that will bend n cut em but Im wondering to get the bend were I want how much pipe should I tell him to bend at the top?? 10,12,14, ect...inches?? Goin for the bullhorn look.
I think the abgle is about 40-45 degrees??
Heres wat Im going for. Anyone have an idea about how much pipe is hangin out here in this pic? Tnx, RR

Using the picture you have, measure the pipe diameter, and then measure the top section from the center of the bend (outside of the bend) to the tip, you'll find the upper section is approx 3.5 times the diameter. So measure the pipe diameter that your going to use times 3.5 for your length. 2 inch pipe gives a 7 inch top section. 3 inch a 10.5 inch, and 4 inch pipe comes out to 13.5 inch top section.
