Big event in a small farming town of 950-ish people. They have a weigh-off competition for large pumpkins, squash, watermelons, etc., there's a car show and the whole town has family-friendly events everywhere. The car show had 250+ cars, it was an unseasonable 24°C (75°F), tons of people (estimates were over 12,000 in town), and just an overall good time.

Here are the few photos that I snapped.

The blue 67 Fargo was built by a friend. He just sold it this year. It has a Crown Vic front end but is still running Mopar power, he had a 440 in it but the new owner was going to change it for a 360.

The rest.

Another of the 67 Fargo. The blue Ford, a local guy builds these himself and does an absolutely outstanding job on them. Modern power trains and suspension with the patina look. The Malibu convertible caught my eye and looked really sweet. The 56 Cadillac was all original and super cool.

And this was the winning pumpkin this year. 2,037 lbs. The same grower won last year with a 2,537 lb pumpkin, a Canadian record.

The unlikely story of Peter Pumkin eater keeping his wife in a pumpkin shell
gains some credibility now.
