So how do you pick your next project?

For me it depends on a couple of things. What do you call projects and what draws your time the most. To me it seems that everything around is a project of some sort. There are those things you want to do and some things you have to do. Being mostly a one man band, the things that need to be done have to get in the way of those things that I want to get done. Around here unfortunately, the have tos are outnumbering the want tos. So I guess the projects pick me, not the other way around.
Same here smalls.....:cautious:

Mikec- if you "had" to pick 3 vehicles of which to make a choice from, what would they be???
I have such ADHD....kinda hard to think about a top 3 but here goes...always wanted a little deuce coupe (3 window) ...way too pricey for my wallet...so lets go the more affordable stuff...

1) Another street legal stock car but maybe Chevy sheet metal 1941 to 1954 era (late model sportsman is what the class was called back in the day)

2) Another Morris Minor (a ratty runner)

3) A Dodge Pilothouse or 50-53 International...both were in my family when I was kid...

3A) Sorry just thought about a late 50s to early 60s Mercedes Ponton...I grew up riding in these cool old cars

I'm in the same boat as Gene.... I only have enough room to work on 1 project at a time.....625 sqft, and as you know have had a hard time getting rolling again, but I am rolling now. I can't even think about a second project until I'm done with this. When I am done, I can get my other truck home and keep both in the garage but will have no space for a build.

I'd like to build a 1.5 story garage and put a 4 post in it so I can keep both here and have a bay and a half to work in. I have a very low ceiling right now) With getting ready for retirement in a couple years I don't know if I want to drop 50k on a garage. I would also like to put a semi in-ground pool back in the yard to replace what I had pre septic, but am in the same boat with spending that loot. I'm very distracted with and having some louder discussions with my financial guy about how long I'll need my money to last when I do retire.

It's a real delemia for me.... pondering on how long I will last. I'm 68 and if I'm only going to last another 10 or 15 years I could pull the loot from my retirement funds. but if I'm gona last over 20 or more I could outlive my loot. Right now my heath is good but I do have a very high calcium score.....but very good blood flow despite that.

I put new batteries in my crystal ball but she won't turn on......lol

Neat ideas. Sounds like #1 and 2 have been done- or very similar. 3 or 3A sounds intriguing to me, (especially #3) and how often does one get to own/enjoy something like that from their past?

 Could be a really enjoyable hunt!

My first car was a 1970 Dodge Challenger.....that would be super, but they are going for big bucks these days.
