Not sure where to post this but wanted to share something that's neat. I had friend of mine who has a shop (Adam@Adam's Chop Shop) rewire my coupe becuase I had some electrical ghosts and basically, I'm not very good at wiring. While he had it, I told him to go ahead and add some caps, mufflers and exhaust pipes to my already existing side dumps since I never seem to get to it and my car is VERY loud. I don't have any photos of the whole system but he did a very nice job. I wanted to show you guys the caps he made for my dumps. He also hand made the wing nuts and safety wired them to the pipes to match some other things I did on the car earlier.

Here's the photos

Looks great, Bill. How much quieter is the car now? I know what you mean about the noise, it was fun to uncork mine for Daytona, but I sure liked it better the next day when I put the caps back on. Maybe we're getting old.

He did a nice job on that setup.

That whole car is awesome!!! Where did you get the springs for the hood straps? They look like something off of a Miller Offy.

Thanks fellas.

WB3, You can get those springs individually at Restoration Supply Company (link below). They also sell a host of other vintage hardware that's fun to look at. http://www.restorationstuff.com/

Don, I put approx. 100 miles on it between yesterday and today. My electrical bugs are all gone and it's running like a top. My neighborhood is pretty tight on noisy cars so I always left it at my dad's place. Now I can bring it home with no problem. It still is not what I would call quiet but it's tame enough to get by.

great car,
expandable rubber inside the caps? might be kinda like the ones used for plumbing drain inspection. or screw in/threaded?
either way looks good.
