i think most all kinds of sanctioned racing is a gas. bonehead you gotta have a blast doing that. the cleanup afterward has gotta be a bummer though. ive also roundy round raced on and off over the years. the last time was 2 years ago. i love it and seem to be pretty good at it. however its expensive even in the very low street stock classes. just the cost of tires can be crazy if you want to be competitive. i even love the swamp buggy races. thats gotta be a blast going through the sippy hole! if money was no object i'd race around in circles. another type of competition that intrigues me is rock climbing. i was going to build a rock buggy but someone bought my foundation from me before i could build it. it was a 1 ton chevy 4x4 truck with alot of good aftermarket parts that i got with a blown motor. one form of racing i dont care for is drag boats. it just seems too dangerous to me. my bud years ago had a supercharged olds powered 17 foot boat. i took one ride in it, that was enough for me, and he only hit 70mph. another friend raced in a 4 cyl hydroplane class. he topped 100mph in his boat. going over 200 in a small boat is just nuts imho. i raced dirt bikes way back when as well. back in the days when bikes had 3 inches of travel, sheeeesh. my last race bike was a bultaco 360. when i got a bike with 12 inches of travel it was like a dream. i got a new kx400 kawasaki uni track in 79 if i remember right. but i'd already quit racing by then on bikes. i also tried my hand at trials bikes too, but i just wasnt nimble enough. through it all, ive drag raced almost every summer. and all year when i lived in north carolina. and it looks as though i'll continue racing until i'm no longer physically able. hopefully thats still a long way off. i still wanna trailer alot more opponents!

Here is another somethng else I do..... My Rock Crawler, built from scratch. I enjoy it, and in my area there are a lot more place to take the buggy then there are car shows and hot rod meets. It is a 350/350 with a 5:1 transfercase and 4:11 gears, Detroit lockers, beadlocks and 42 inch tires. :D

Thanks guys, I can't tell you how much I get into the sport. I have turned it up on it's side, caught it on fire, broken axles, but it has always got me back home. One of the real challanges is to build something that will do the unbelievable. Glad you like it.

Okay, here is one more other thing I do. I have this desert runner. This is one that I did not build. It came up on E-bay a while back and I ended up with it. I am trying to find more recent pictures of it. It now sports scalloped paint on a newer front end. It runs out real good and has a long armed front Independent suspension. Built 351, ford 9 inch leaf spring rear, full cage, 5point, etc. Fun, fun, fun!:D

Here is my mild Jeep, good for hunting trips, and family wheeling. I know, I know, too many vehicles for one guy. You see why I like about anything with wheels. You can also see a little "hot rod" in all my toys.
