I've seen em race on a dirt track, pretty cool. They had em do a 3 lap race during intermission one time. They got em geared pretty low so speed was not that impressive, but the sound now that was awsome.

Something about the size of a baseball diamond is what would work for a track, I think.
Sliding into second base takes on a whole new perspective.:D '22

A guy could build one for considerably less than $8-13K.

Anybody have any more info on the drive system? I see a chain with a sizable reduction in one of the pictures but there has to be some kind of right angle gear box and I would think some kind of differential.

Reverse? maybe belts? hydrolic?

How does it work?

It is a very nicely engineered item.

I just love a good distraction.:D

MD - - they have a hydrostat tractor gear box which drives two sprocket/chain driven axles - forward and reverse are controlled by the position of the left foot - - down for forward and up for reverse[ like on some riding lawnmowers ]

I'm not really sure about type, mfg but I have a Brother that works on and restores riding lawnmowers, in fact, doesn't Gastrick fool around with lawnmowers? He might have more of a idea of what to use. But either way I'll see what I can find out.
