Not 100 percent sure, but I think this is a product of AC, as in AC Delco. In the early years the instruments in most cars were not made by the car builder, but bought from someone else, just like lots of them used Guide headlights. One example is Austin Healy who bought Smiths instruments.
I have owned cars over the years with instruments that had some other makers name enscribed inside them. A guess would be that this is for some GM product, 40-50-ish because of the 100 mph range. Why I came up with that is purely a guess and I could be totally wrong. It looks like NOS though because of the milage on the odometer.
