Yep, when I saw yours... I had to have one too!!!

My last computer crash lost most of my pics. Even the external hard drive I had a bunch on died . There might be some on my build thread on here, it’s just a 66-67 Chevelle wheel.

Nothing fancy, just one of those old wood gripped aftermarket wheels that had some bad wood pieces, so I wrapped it with 3/16" diameter rope. You get the bonus of my custom shift knob as well, both in my 48 Plymouth Business coupe.
Kind of fits the theme of the car being an old dirt track race car. (pic 2)

This one is very unique, but looks plain. That is 'alternative authenticity'. It is homemade. There are a handful of '47 Ford truck choke rods, part of a peanut butter jar, a really big homemade concave washer, quite a bit of 1/4"X 5/16" keystock, and the original perimeter ring from this truck, all in this 'banjo wheel'. Oh, ya, and quite a bit of body filler.

I have made a few. Finding photos of them all is difficult.

I totally missed this thread but here's the steering wheel I currently have in the MaseRATi. I'm not 100% sure what the spokes are from, I had someone tell me they were off a Model T but some others disagreed. I had to remove the original 2 piece bored & keyed center hub so that I could add my quick release hub from the original Grant wheel that was on the car before and when I did that it came apart in 4 pieces. Then I used some extra thick drive chain I had and here's how it turned out. Now that I'm retired, these sorts of projects are the types of things that make me really miss having weekend access to the machine shop! Hopefully once I move into a bigger place with a big garage or shop and bring in some machines I can REALLY get creative...
