Sub-mess-of a frame!

Let me guess, they just shoved some rec tube into the front sub and barely welded it together? And the welds were cold?

Yup

Turns out the old frame was sleeved YAY, kinda !!!! but it did no good because the S-10 clip just sat on top of it, so I eneded cutingit all up. So I cut it apart, notched and tried again. then I'm going to run a 1x4 or 1x3 along the outside of the frame, or a 1/4" plate on each side, top and bottom....

Maybe I just i dunno pour gas and drop a match[S

I'll post pictures when I get it closer to completion.....

Anybody know if they make a tube that fits inside a 2"x4"?
