Actually it was Saturday. Our annual free drag racing weekend at Brainerd Raceway, sponsored by the Minnesota Street Rod Assn. I brought the dragster and Dave drove. We were hoping for 11.20's but 11.40's were the best of the day. Must have been the hot, humid air. There were a lot of street rods racing and many that came to watch. A really good assortment of cars. Unfortunately a lot of cars and drivers were inexperienced which resulted in leakage, breakage and improper staging.
First is an Overland roadster, possibly a coupster, next is my car in the wooded, shady pits, a cool Vdub, a nosebleed Lark and a would-be oval car. Nice A coupe.

Cars, cars, cars.
Not sure on the color combination, This coupe typifies "nasty",a couple muscular cars follow by a quick tudoor that rolled at this track a couple years ago. The little orange car ran 11.00's

But wait, there's more...A truck, a coupe and a SS454 Nova. Yikes! At the opposite end of the food chain we find survivor roadster with a flattie, a nice restored Chevy roadster and a neat long roof.

And finally... a 292 Chevy 6 in this T coupe, a roadster, and beautiful paint on the Hardtop. Red coupes, a pair, my friend Dave's chopped '57, a fast Duster and a rare (they all rusted away) Plymmie. There were hundreds more, plus a dozen front motored dragsters, but I got too hot and headed for the shade. We made 4 runs and had a nice time.
