The FBI virus

I guess some of you know what it is and some of you dont. I never heard of it till last nite,when it hit me..Its a computer virus..It locks down your computer and a large message from the FBI,says you broke some kind of law[copywrite or some bs] and to get unlocked you have to send in 300 dollars..You can see more info about it on You-tube.. As if I aint got enough stuff to do,now I got to get that mess out of my computer.I wonder how many people fall for that crap.

Jeez, like we didn't have enough to worry about, now some new virus comes along and tries to extort money from us.

I watched the video on YouTube on how to get rid of it, thanks for posting.

Yeah, I ran into two different versions of that virus. Looking for 'free' CAD programs - not porn (never had a virus searching porn

). The FBI virus is a real PITA.

Had the same type of thing about 8-9 months ago, only it was the RCMP. At first it's WTH is this??? After getting a good look at it, spelling mistakes and other things start being noticed so you know it's a scam. Cost me $90 to get the computer cleaned up and have the guy make a copy onto a disc so the real RCMP could see it. Never heard back what come of it, if anything.
