Good morning guys and gals!,
this morning as i was waiting for the feast of passover to be ready to eat, i was going thru my daily diet of rrr, and i just had a thought,
i 've heard and seen so much about what is traditional and what is not,
it me to thinking, if this old world last 50 60 more years.
What will be considered the traditional hot rod of 2000 decade?
Ratrods or rice burners?
Just a thought.

Pintos, Gremlins, Pacers and the other assortment of "Rods"!!:(..The same type of cars which are now allowed entry into all NSRA shows!!!..:D...CR

well you know they say that the ratrod seen is new so , it would just make since to me that 50 years from now we would considered , the revival traditional of traditionals , that wasnt tradistion till 2060! i think that makes sense![S

Don't you wish we would have had a crystal ball back in the 50's, 60,s and 70's to know that those 25 dollar model a's, $ 100 Deuces, and $ 1500 Hemi Chargers would be worth gold some day? (If you don't remember cheap Hemis, think gas shortage of mid 70's. People were so sure we would never have gas again you couldn't GIVE away muscle cars!)

I've wondered the same thing your question asks..........what will be tomorrows "hot" sellers. Probably same as now, sort of.........2010 Mustangs, Camaros, Chargers, etc. will be collector items. Not that I will live to see 50 years from now, but my fear is that all of the cars we love will be relegated to museums. If stuff like is happening in California spreads (and it always does a few years later) the only way we will be able to use our cars is if they are 100% emissions compliant........cat convertors, no carbs, etc. I've been seeing this come for years, and am afraid this is all coming into reality.:(

Hope I'm wrong for our kid/hotrodders sakes.

I sold my hot rod back then because I couldn't afford gas and so did my brother-in-law. Like Don said, you couldn't give a muscle car away, now you can barely afford one. After Toyota goes out of business, maybe the Prius will be a big collectors item! [ddd

you know after all i was thining about this subject something strange happened yesterday,, the kid next door who comes and helps me on my stuff and hangs around , hes 15 and ask alot of questions , and i tell him the only stupid question is the one thats not asked! tells me he found the car he wants to save up for,! showing me his camera phone there a picture od a 40 ford coupe setting in a field ! he says THATS WHAT I WANT! how cool! That's great! I love to hear about the younger generation getting into oldies. And how I wish I knew back then what I know today! I would be rich with all of the muscle cars I would have bought back in the day! You couldn't hardly give em away in the first "gas crisis" I sold a cherry 68 GTO in 76 for a measly $750 and I was extremely happy that I got that much for it! ....oh if I only had Mr. Peabody and his wayback machine!!!...CR[cl
