Diamond T is way cool. I just put a freind onto one of those. He carves them up and sells all the parts on ebay. The windshields are cool because each side has it's own crank.

I will have to watch d-bay I'm missing a couple interior parts. Not that they are needed I would just like to have them.
So on to the 68. An old beater and I mean beater, but it has all the little parts that are missing from the 71. When I first talked to the guy about the 68 he told me all the parts I was looking for are on the truck. I told him I was looking for an auto trans, he told me there was one in the truck. I asked about the motor he said there is a 390 in it. I asked if the truck was a driver. After a long story about the big D and the big house, he said he had it on the road for a short time before it got parked and had not been touched in years. He started to remove thing to pull the motor and trans a couple month ago to scrap the truck but just had no intrest in it any more. I have to cut the hood open but here are a couple pics. The header came off the truck and were sitting in the front seat when i looked at it.
Could not pass it up. For $50.00 I'm going to try a 6" chop. If I mess up no big deal. Not going to try to build a complete rod, If it comes out I'm just going to sell the cab.
Mike, that ribbed block is a later service block IIRC, one of the better 390 blocks. Nice score. I think that performer is the low end torque intake with the tiny runners. Worth a buck and a half by itself
