Always fun watching the stuff you do. Keep it up! Any crazy "out of the norm" ride you might next be adding to your corral???
Not right now. Just some run of the mill stuff. I might be doing a 39 Dodge truck for a guy. But we will see. He is an odd duck and I'm not sure I want the headache hahahaha

As time rolls by the skill of "weighing things out" seem to have more meaning LOL. As Gibbs from NCIS would say, 'follow your gut' :D. (y)(y)
The problem is it would be a super cool project. That's what's still got me wondering about maybe doing it. I've had a couple sit-downs with the guy and he has no idea what he wants other than he wants it done cheap

Totally. When "cheap" is their top priority, usually things don't go well.

You mean you can't prep and paint a full car in 2 hours? They do it in 30 minutes on TV!
I've been saying for a long time TV has ruined car builds. Gas monkey garage was probably the worst. I love how they tell you what they have into this vehicle and you know in the back of your mind that it's probably double that.

Those handshake deals they show on reality TV to build a car for a customer for a fixed price, then the finished car is in the background of all the shots in the shot in all subsequent seasons. It just makes me laugh. "It cost X to build this car". Yeah not a chance.

100% agree. Completely stupid

I agree, cheap guys are very annoying.
Could you charge him for everything you do, by the week, and then if he gets upset partway through the build, he can just pay the last bill and take his car home? That way neither one of you is out money, and he can be cheap somewhere else.

The guys that always want it cheap are never happy.
They will cost you more then you ever make from them.
Do yourself a huge favor, and send him on down the road.
If he bugs you and wants to know why, tell him that he already thinks you are going to cheat him, and you don't do that kind of a work relationship.
Don't make up crappy excuses, tell him directly, and be done with it.
I'd rather a cheap guy leaves and never comes back then to deal with the mess after trying to do business with them.
After some of those people think about it, they actually become good customers.
